Besides Workers Compensation and Medical Care If I hurt myself in a Patients Home can the Home Insurance be used to compensate?
I work Home Health for a Home Health Company, full time in the patients home, I hurt my back lifting a combative patient would my lawyer also consider attacking the Home Owners Home Insurance? What possible benefits would there be? Pro and Con.

Our response
If you can prove that their was some fault on the part of the homeowner, then you would have a third party case against the homeowner. You would then have two cases: 1. a worker’s compensation case against your employer, and 2. a third party negligence case against the homeowner. Negligence in the home can be as simple as slipping and falling due to a hazard that was not obvious.
