Wayne P. Russell, Esq.

Mr. Russell joined The Law Offices of Gillis, Mermell & Pacheco, P.A. in 2018. Mr. Russell handles his own case load and has quickly accelerated his learning curve. He is proficient in new client intakes, informal conferences, the discovery process, settlement evaluations, and demands, and general handling of all aspects of a DBA or Longshore case up to and including trial. Most importantly, he is passionate about helping the injured workers he represents under the Longshore and Defense Base Act.

Prior to working for Gillis, Mermell, & Pacheco, P.A., Mr. Russell was an associate at a regional mid-size law firm (Fowler Rodriguez, LLP) and specialized in Maritime/Admiralty Personal Injury Insurance Defense; Maritime Contract Disputes; Commercial and Residential Landlord/Tenant Disputes; Construction/Mechanic’s Liens; and Florida Lemon Law Claims. Through this diverse practice area experience, Mr. Russell became proficient in drafting and initiating pleadings and motions, attained repeated success for his clients at hearings and trials in Florida state court and Federal Court.

Mr. Russell is admitted to the Florida Bar and The Southern District of Florida.
